Sam is continuing the fourth generation of construction in his family. His great-grandfather was a residential home builder who began the path for his family. Not only is Sam continuing that tradition, he is following in the very same footsteps as his grandfather:
"Almost 60 years later, I graduated from the same school with the same major and have been working for the same company since my graduation." Sam works for ºÚÁÏ³Ô¹Ï Construction, starting first as a Project Engineer/Project Manager and now working in Business Development.
As for future generations of the construction workforce, Sam says the future is full of potential:
"Every construction company I know is looking to hire (and retain) quality individuals. As older generations retire and phase out of the industry, companies are figuring out ways to draw in the younger generations. So, I think as a general statement, the next generation of the construction workforce can look forward to an industry that has open ears."
